If you are interested in filing your insurance, contact your insurance company and ask about “behavioral health services.” You will need to know the following: 1) Your deductible amount; 2) Whether or not you’ve met your deductible; 3) Whether there are limits on the number of visits per calendar year; 4) The percentage of behavioral health services insurance will reimburse for out-of-network providers.

How long does counseling last?

The length of treatment can vary and depends on several factors, such as the nature of the problem, treatment goals, and client engagement in counseling. Short-term counseling (12 sessions or less) is appropriate for many presenting issues. Sometimes, a longer course of treatment may be necessary to provide lasting gains.

How frequent are appointments?

Appointments are available on weekdays during standard business hours. Clients can schedule sessions once a week or twice monthly. Dr. Kenya prefers to arrange weekly, consistent appointment times; however, if you cannot regularly schedule (same time, date) due to an irregular schedule, an effort will be made to accommodate your schedule.

How long are individual sessions?

The first session (evaluation and diagnostic assessment) typically lasts 60-75 minutes. Ongoing counseling sessions are 55-60 minutes.

Is counseling confidential?

Professional ethics and licensure laws bind counselors to uphold confidentiality. No one outside of Bledsoe Counseling, LLC, is given any information without your written consent under normal circumstances. Please note that during our initial session, I will discuss certain legal and ethical limits to confidentiality.
